The Revolutionary Features of the New Samsung Galaxy S10

There’s a good reason why pre orders have been rolling in for the newest generation of Galaxy. As far as marking a decade, the Galaxy S10 does a stellar job of honoring the past while showcasing a bright future with a revolutionary Infinity-O screen that’s so vast it solidifies the Galaxy lineup for decades to come.

One can hardly resist an update to an S10e, S10, or S10+s handset with so many overhauls ever to happen among Samsung’s premium smartphone lineup. The new Galaxy S10 series is ready for preorder (as of February 21, 2019) at a price point starting at $999 USD. The official release date is scheduled for March 8, 2019. Samsung is selling 4 Galaxy S10 varieties—S10e at 5.8-inches, S10 at 6.1-inches, S10+ at 6.4-inches, and finally the S10 5G at 6.7-inches, each ranges in prices and features in 8 different colors. Let’s take a look at the impressive new features of the Samsung Galaxy S10 series:

1. Infinity-O screen

You asked for big and Samsung delivered a HUGE 6.1-inch Infinity display (compared to 5.8 inches on the S9), which is the real showstopper. The Infinity-O screen literally stretches edge-to-edge and top to bottom in an impressive 93.1% screen-to-body ratio, giving the impression of pixels literally spilling over into your user hand. The screen features nary a bezel, instead all controls are neatly hidden behind the dazzling AMOLED display, with fingerprint sensor tech built right into the screen itself. The front facing camera is built into a tiny punch-hole in the screen. Paired with a triple-lens rear camera has the capacity to capture ultra-wide images.

2. Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor

Say goodbye to the fingerprint pad on the back of your Galaxy S9 smartphone. S10 uses an innovative and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor tucked behind the front facing glass so it’s virtually invisible on the phone. The aesthetic maximizes crystal clear display while tucking all the controls and sensors (i.e., accelerometer, barometer, compass, light sensor, proximity sensor, and gyroscope) of sight until you actually need them.

3. Wireless PowerShare

This feature takes inspiration from Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro. It’s a convenient reverse wireless charging method that allows wireless power transfer via inductive charging over distances of up to 4 centimeters away. This means you can power up using the back of your S10 to Qi charge another device (i.e., phone, Galaxy buds, etc.). Cool huh? Especially considering that Huawei technology isn’t available in the United States.

4. Ultra-wide camera lens

Step aside LG V40, there’s a new ultra-wide camera lens in town. The Galaxy S10 new rear-facing triple lense camera snaps normal, telephoto, and ultra-wide shots regardless of low-lighting. Just point and snap. No need to backup to snap a well lit shot.
