Apple iPad – The Tablet Redefined

The iPad is a tablet device from the house of Apple Inc. that features the brand’s premium operating system known as the iOS. In addition to performing the functions of a conventional computer, the Apple iPad also has the ability to take pictures, record videos, navigate through GPS etc. A larger version of the iPhone, this device’s current model has six previous versions.

1. 1st Generation – The earliest generation of the Apple iPad was released in 2010 and was the first such device from the company. It ran on the iOS 3.2 and was capable of being upgraded to iOS 5.1.1.

2. iPad 2 – The Apple iPad 2 was launched in the next year, that is, 2011 with iOS 4.2.1 built into the system. Users could purchase the 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB models according to their needs and demands.

3. 3rd Generation – In 2012, the brand rolled out the next generation of the Apple iPad that was equipped with iOS 5.1 and could be upgraded to iOS 9.3.5.

4. 4th Generation – In the same year, that is, 2012, another Apple iPad was launched that boasted of the latest operating system of that time (iOS 6). After releasing models with lesser storage space initially, the brand officially began selling the 128 GB model in 2013.

5. iPad Air – The Apple iPad Air that was introduced in 2013, received great response due to the A7 processor, M7 coprocessor as well as iOS 7.0.3 installed in the product.

6. iPad Air 2 – Some models of this device were released in 2014 while some of them were released in 2016. The Apple iPad Air 2 came with iOS 8.2 and could be stepped up to iOS 11, which is the latest update from the brand till now.

7. iPad 2017 – This version of the Apple iPad comes packed with the latest specifications such as iOS 10.3, Apple A9 processor, Apple M9 motion coprocessor, 1.85 GHz dual-core Twister, etc.

The brand also released a smaller version of the product known as the Apple iPad Mini for those who wanted the exclusive features that a regular iPad provided, but were not interested in keeping a huge sized tablet. Moreover, Apple iPad Mini has had four versions and is pretty much affordable making it a hit among people all over the globe. The first generation of the product was brought before the world in 2012. After seeing the immense response that the mini version garnered in one year, the brand launched the iPad Mini 2 in 2013. In the subsequent year, the Apple iPad Mini 3 was launched and in 2014, Apple opened sales of the iPad Mini 4. The brand has stopped production of most of the products from the Mini series with sales limited only to the 128 GB version of the 4th generation.

The Apple iPad Pro series is currently in its second generation and comes powered with the Apple 10X processor as well as Apple M10 coprocessor. The magnificent hexa-core processor promises smooth and sleek functioning.
